Mission of the Role:- 

Ensure smooth delivery and operation of IT services throughs a hands-on approach and a service-first mindset to all internal staff. Partner with senior-level stakeholders and managed service providers (i.e. virtual CIO) to design, implement, and maintain a scalable IT infrastructure as the business grows. Develop, Manage, and tracking the IT department's annual budget.

 

Install and maintain hardware and computer peripherals. Install and upgrade operating systems and computer software. Troubleshooting networking and connection issues. Advising on software or hardware upgrades. Provide basic training in computer operation and management. Maintain hardware and software inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.

 

Expected Outcomes: -

  1. SUPPORT - support users with desktop support, troubleshooting for all software and hardware used (MS Office, Google Suite, Xerox copiers, VOIP phones, CRM and ERP)
  2. BACKUP AND SECURITY - ensure regular system backup and system-wide protection, maintain UTM, Endpoint protection, virus protections and firewall hardware/software
  3. STRATEGY - assess the overall needs of the organization against the current infrastructure, software applications, and IT vendors to develop a roadmap for lowering cybersecurity risk, improving network and data performance, better leveraging software applications, and lowering costs where appropriate.
  4. HARDWARE - set up and maintain routers, switches, hubs, laptops, desktops, VOIP phones, Printers
  5. SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTATION - play key role in the adoption, installation, management, training and improvements of current systems.
  6. LEADERSHIP - initially a strong hands-on role leveraging help where available; in time as the business grows and we build a small IT organization: provide leadership, training, and support to staff members.

 

Qualification criteria: - 

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. 3+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing complex information technology projects.
  3. Strong knowledge of project management principles.
  4. Experience with both Windows and Mac platforms, Windows and Exchange server administration Google G-Suite, the Microsoft 365 suite of products, Salesforce, SaaS applications , Ring Central all strongly preferred.
  5. Strong understanding of computer systems, security, network infrastructure and systems administration, databases and data storage systems (SQL, Tableau, Sisense etc), and telecommunications systems.
  6. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization.
  7. Excellent time management and decision-making skills.

 

Schedule

  1. Monday to Friday – 40 hours (flexible)
  2. Work Remotely – No

 

Compensation CAD 50,000-55,000 (Base Salary) + 10% (Annual Bonus) + benefits
